André was born in Wanganui to parents Max and Jenny. Both parents are creatively inclined - Max an avid painter, and Jenny enjoying success with her line of amazing and intricate one off garments. Creativity was always encouraged in the household, and André began dabbling in 3D at just 13 years old.
At 16 André moved to Wellington to attend a multimedia course at Natcoll. The contacts made during this course led André to helping out on a ‘real’ job for David Partridge of MaD Design. This was the beginning of a strong and productive working relationship between the two, and the birth of ‘3DCluster’ – A collective of freelance artists, including David, André and two others, working together to bring 3D visions to life.
